Many factors can affect an older person’s food intake, such as health issues, taste changes, and poor teeth. You might want to use a meal planner to keep track of what you’re eating. You may also need to drink more water and eat more high-fibre foods.

If you are overweight and thinking about dieting, it’s important for you to talk with your health professional first – not all weight loss diets are appropriate for some older people.
