But all too often, the weight creeps back on and sometimes you can even end up weighing more than you did before you lost weight. This can be really frustrating and it’s tempting to give up.

Understanding why this happens and what you can do about it will help. When you lose weight, some changes can occur in your body that try to get you back to the weight you were before. It can take time for your body to readjust to your new weight.


So, when you lose weight, it’s important to keep up your healthy habits.  Don’t be tempted to go back to your old habits when you have reached your goal weight, or when you find what you have been doing to lose weight is not working any more. It is challenging, but keeping the weight off can become easier with time.
